Lenovo puts speakers in hinge of Yoga C930 convertible
Lenovo comes with a new convertible where the speakers are built into the hinge. The manufacturer calls this a ‘rotating soundbar’. Lenovo has not yet officially announced the convertible, but the details are already on the manufacturer’s website.
With the Yoga C930, Lenovo is moving away from its hinge that resembles a metal watch band. Lenovo first included such a hinge in its Yoga 3 Pro in 2014, and later other high-end models also received such a hinge. The new C930 has a one-piece hinge containing a speaker. Lenovo also supplies a stylus that can now be stored in the housing.
The convertible has a 13.9″ screen and there will be a variant with an uhd resolution and a version with an fhd screen. The weight is 1.38 kg and at its thinnest point the Yoga C930 is 14.5 mm thick. thick the convertible is at the thickest point is not in the specifications.There will be variants with the Core i7-8550U and the Core i5-8250U, with 16GB, 12GB or 8GB ddr4.The storage consists of a 2TB PCI-e SSD , 1TB, 512GB or 256GB.
The details about the Yoga C930 have come out via a Lenovo website, which has a spec sheet. Notebookcheck mentions this and states that the convertible will probably be announced at the IFA fair that starts at the end of August.
