Lenovo presents ThinkBook Plus Twist with rotating E Ink and OLED screen
Lenovo has presented the ThinkBook Plus Twist, a laptop whose top half is rotatable and contains two screens. One side contains a 13.3″ OLED screen and the other side has a 12″ E Ink screen. Both screens are touchscreens.
The ThinkBook Plus Twist is a new version of the ThinkBook Plus that Lenovo first showed three years ago, which has an IPS panel on the inside and an E Ink panel on the outside. The Twist has as its main new function that the top half can rotate, allowing users to choose which screen to use in which orientation. For example, now they can use the E Ink screen in laptop mode and the OLED panel in tablet mode, which was not possible with the predecessor.
The 2.8k 13.3″ OLED panel has a maximum brightness of 400cd/m², a refresh rate of 60Hz and supports one hundred percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. The resolution of the 12″ E Ink screen is not shared However, Lenovo does say that it is a color panel that has a refresh rate of 12Hz. Both screens have touch and pen support.
The laptop has two speakers and Dolby Atmos support, two microphones, a full HD camera and a fingerprint scanner. The battery is 56Wh, which means the E Ink screen can be used for 21 hours. The ThinkBook Plus Twist comes with Windows 11, a 13th generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB Lpddr5X memory and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. The laptop gets two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a 3.5mm port and supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. The ThinkBook Plus Twist will be available for sale in Europe from June and will cost at least 1699 euros.
