Lenovo: Moto G4 Plus will get an update to Android O toch
Lenovo has announced that its Moto G4 Plus device will receive an update to Android O. A few days ago, the manufacturer announced the devices that would receive the update, but the phone was not listed.
Lenovo has updated the original blog post to address the issue. In it, it writes: “Since publishing this post, we have been made aware of a number of errors in the marketing materials for Android O on the Moto G4 Plus. It is our policy that Moto G devices receive one major OS update per device, so Android O was not originally planned for the phone.”
The company also says it wants to fulfill its earlier promise and to provide the G4 Plus with the latest version of the mobile OS in addition to Android N. Because this is an unplanned update, Lenovo needs time to plan it. As soon as more is known, the manufacturer will announce this via its update page.
Before the weekend, Lenovo announced the devices that will receive an update to the latest Android version. In addition to the G4 and the Play variant, the three-month-old E4 devices were also missing from the list.
