Lenovo Legion 2 Pro smartphone gets 144Hz amoled screen and Snapdragon 888 soc
Lenovo has released teasers of its upcoming Legion 2 Pro smartphone, which is aimed at gamers. The device will include a Snapdragon 888-soc and a 144Hz-amoled screen. Lenovo will announce the Legion 2 Pro on Thursday, April 8.
Lenovo started releasing Legion 2 Pro teasers on April 2, GSMArena also reports. In it, the company says, among other things, that the device will have a 6.92 “amoled screen. It is a 144Hz panel with a resolution of 2460×1080 pixels. The smartphone already appeared in the Geekbench database, which showed that the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-soc, Lenovo now confirms it on its Weibo profile.
The phone also gets a 5500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging. How Lenovo achieves that ability is still unknown. The current Lenovo Legion Pro also supports 90W fast charging via two USB-C connections, each supporting 45W of power. Lenovo also teased last month that the Legion 2 Pro will be equipped with two fans for cooling.
Lenovo does not disclose any further details yet, although the manufacturer says it will release more teasers in the coming days. Recently, Weibo user Master Lu released some alleged benchmarks of the smartphone, stating that the smartphone will be available with up to 512GB of storage and 16GB of memory. In addition, variants with 12GB memory and 128GB or 256GB storage would also be released.
