Lenovo launches new ThinkPad E laptops
Lenovo has added four ThinkPad E laptops, with 14″ and 15.6″ screens, to its product line. The manufacturer provides the laptops with Intel and AMD processors and the business systems optionally get a full HD screen.
The new ThinkPads bear the ThinkPad E460, E465, E560 and E565 designations, with the 4xx models having a 14″ and the 5xx laptops a 15.6″ screen. The Ex60 laptops are equipped with Intel processors, up to a Core i7 dual-core of the Skylake generation, and the Ex65 models are AMD APUs such as the A10. The latter optionally combines Lenovo with an AMD Radeon R5 GPU.
The systems are equipped with HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports and a fingerprint reader and offer an advertised battery life of up to 9 hours, but it is not known in which scenario this can be achieved. Lenovo releases configurations with the screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels and with 1920×1080 pixels. The E560 will also receive support for Intel’s RealSense. The prices are 688 euros for the ThinkPad E460, 737 euros for the E560 and 652 euros for the E565. The laptops will be launched in December in the Benelux, but the ThinkPad E465 is not included.
