Lenovo is likely to release three new Chromebooks with Intel CPUs
Lenovo has published a video showing three new Chromebooks. Two of these not yet officially announced Chromebooks appear to be the successors of the existing S330 and C330 and will receive an Intel CPU instead of a copy of Mediatek.
From the data in the video and pages from Lenovo, it can be deduced that the new Chromebooks will be equipped with different Intel CPUs of the eighth generation. The existing C330 and S330 still have Mediatek’s MT8173 soc.
The Chromebook C340-11 is a convertible with a touch-sensitive 11.6 “screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and an Intel Celeron N4000 as the CPU. The laptop also has 4GB of ram and interested parties can choose from 32GB or 64GB of storage space.
In addition, Lenovo seems to be coming with the S340-14. This Chromebook also gets the Intel Celeron N4000 and has a 14″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 or 1366×768 pixels. This 2-in-1 has a screen that can be tilted 180 degrees so that the laptop can be completely flat. The full HD screen is optionally touch-sensitive, and there is 4GB of RAM and a maximum of 64GB of storage space.
Like the previous two, the Chromebook C340-15 is a convertible, although this model will be equipped with a more powerful Intel Core i3 CPU or a Pentium Gold CPU, such as the Pentium Gold 4417U or the Intel Core i3-8130U. This model has a touch-sensitive 15.6″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a full keyboard with backlight, 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage space.
Lenovo has not officially announced the models yet. As a result, there is no definitive information about prices, availability and release dates yet.
