Lenovo is launching a new generation of laptops with recycled materials and monitors
Lenovo is showing a number of new laptops in the ThinkPad and Yoga lines. For the former, the company is launching the new generations of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, but there are also new Yogas and Nanos. All three are in the highest segment and now consist of more recycled materials.

The laptops only contain ‘recycled materials for certain components’, the manufacturer writes. For example, the eleventh generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon consists of 90 percent recycled magnesium at the palm rest and 55 percent magnesium on the bottom. The laptops also contain the thirteenth generation Intel Raptor Lake processors, with the Yoga having the U-series of 15W, just like last year, the Nano the P-series of 28W and users of the Carbon from both the U- and P-series. to be able to choose. The latter laptop now also contains twice as much memory as that of the tenth generation: it had 32GB Lpddr5, but the new version has 64GB Lpddr5. The Carbon and Yoga cost 1599 and 1799 euros respectively and will be available in April. The Nano will not appear in Europe.
In addition, Lenovo is launching new versions of some of its consumer devices, namely the IdeaPad Pro 5/5i, IdeaPad Slim 5/5i, IdeaCentre Mini 5i, IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook and Lenovo Tab M9. The biggest difference between the older versions is that they contain the latest hardware from AMD, Intel or Nvidia. In addition, the IdeaPad Slim 5i and IdeaPad Slim 5 now have an OLED display.

Monitors
In addition to laptops, Lenovo is also announcing a number of new monitors. A notable one is the ThinkVision P49w-30. This is the first 49” ultrawide monitor with IPS Black technology. Such panels were previously only available in 27 and 32 inches. The P49w-30 will cost 2,299 euros and will be released in July.
Lenovo is also launching new versions of its ThinkVision mini LED monitors. This P27pz-30 and P32pz-30 both support wide color spaces thanks to DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB and can be connected via USB-C. Finally, Lenovo comes with three business monitors that mainly distinguish themselves with their 5-megapixel webcam with infrared lens: the T27hv-30, T24mv-30 and T24v-30. The first two mentioned also contain a Microsoft Teams button, so that it should be possible to immediately open the video calling application. These three monitors have a suggested retail price of 559, 399 and 299 euros respectively. The T27hv-30 and T24v-30 will be available in June; the T24mv-30 will be released a month earlier.
