Lenovo introduces thin 14 “laptop with AMD Ryzen 9 4900H octacore

Lenovo is releasing the Yoga Slim 7 Pro this month, a thin 14 “laptop that holds up to an AMD Ryzen 9 4900H processor. That’s a 45W processor with eight cores. Lenovo is also announcing variants with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs. which will be released in November.

Furthermore, Lenovo is announcing variants with Intel ‘next generation’ processors. Lenovo does not mention the processors by name yet, but it concerns the Tiger Lake processors that Intel will formally present on September 2. These are economical 15W processors with up to four cores and Intel’s new Xe GPU.

The Yoga Slim 7i and Slim 7i Pro are laptop versions of 14 “and 13.3”. The Yoga 7i is a convertible that comes in 14 “and 15.6” versions. All Intel versions get a Thunderbolt 4 connection; the AMD versions don’t have that. Lenovo will release the Yoga models with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs in November.
