Lenovo Introduces 12.2″ Version of Yoga Book with Android
Lenovo has announced the Yoga A12: a 2-in-1 laptop with a keyboard without physical buttons. The laptop thus resembles the Yoga Book, only the A12 runs Android, it does not come with a stylus and it has a larger screen.
The Lenovo Yoga A12 has a 12.1″ screen, where the Yoga Book has a 10.1″ screen. Lenovo has not yet announced the resolution of the A12: the company is talking about an unspecified ‘HD’ screen. Inside the case is an Intel Atom x5 soc, along with 2GB of ram and 32GB of storage. That’s half the amount the company uses with the Yoga Book.
Where the Yoga Book comes with both Windows and Android, the A12 will only be available with Android. The flat touch-sensitive keyboard, which Lenovo calls Halo, is present, which does not have physical buttons but does provide haptic feedback.
This keyboard can be flipped 360 degrees to use the laptop in tablet mode. According to the manufacturer, the battery life of the device is around 13 hours, although it is not known in which scenario this was measured. The Yoga A12 will be available in gray and pink for $299. Converted and with VAT, that is 336 euros.
