Lenovo announces Vibe S1 Lite smartphone
Lenovo has announced that it will release a new Vibe smartphone. The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. With this, the smartphone facilitates taking selfies.
According to Lenovo, the Vibe S1 Lite is mainly aimed at taking selfies and group photos. The sensor in the front camera is made by Sony and the phone has a special lighting function for that camera.
The smartphone has a 5 “screen and a 1.3 GHz octacore processor: the MediaTek MT6753. This makes the Lite the same size as the regular S1, but slightly slower than its predecessor with a 1.7 GHz processor. The S1 Lite has 2GB of RAM, a 2700mAh battery and standard 16GB storage memory. The memory is expandable with a micro SD card to a total of 48GB. The phone also has space for two SIM cards. The whole runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Lenovo indicates that the smartphone will cost $199 and will be released in the United States sometime early this year. The release date and price for the Benelux are not yet known.
