Lenovo announces ThinkPad P53 workstation with Quadro RTX and OLED touchscreen

Lenovo has announced new ThinPad workstations in the P series. The manufacturer provides the ThinkPad P35 with a Xeon cpu, a Quadro RTX gpu, and a 15.6 “oled panel. The systems have a starting price of 2419 euros.

The updated P-series comprises five models: the ThinkPad P73, P53, P1 Gen 2, P53s, and P43s. The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 with 15.6″ screen gets an Intel Xeon or a Core processor, including the Core i9, with up to 128GB of RAM and 6TB of storage. The screen is an OLED touchscreen with support for the HDR format Dolby Vision. video card is the Quadro RTX 5000. Lenovo will start sales in August for a starting price of 2419 euros.

The P73 is the bigger brother of the P53 and has a 17.3 “screen. This is not an OLED panel, but does display the 4k resolution, and the system supports Dolby Vision. This laptop will also be available with Xeon and Core processors and with a Quadro RTX video card.The P73 will appear in September for 2429 euros and higher prices.

The thin mobile ThinkPad P1 workstation that Lenovo announced last year has been given a makeover in the form of the P1 Gen 2. The system is even thinner at 17.2 mm and the hardware gets an upgrade. For example, the manufacturer supplies the model with the new generations of Xeons and Core processors and there is a choice of a Quadro T1000 or T2000 with Turing GPU instead of the Nvidia Quadro P1000 and P2000. In addition, the P1 can also be equipped with an OLED touchscreen. The starting price when introduced in August is 2359 euros.

The ThinkPad P43s and P53s are mobile workstations with 14″ and 15.3″ screens respectively. The devices will get Quadro graphics cards and Intel Core processors. The ThinkPad P53s will be available from July from 1669 euros and the ThinkPad P43s will be available in July for a starting price of 1889 euros.
