Lenovo announces IdeaPad laptops with AMD Ryzen Mobile 3000 processors
Lenovo has announced the IdeaPad C340, S540 and S340. The manufacturer supplies the new line of mainstream laptops with Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors. The video card is optionally an Nvidia model for the Intel models. There is also a new IdeaCentre PhD student.
The laptops come in versions with 14″ and 15.6″ screens and with resolutions of up to 1920×1080 pixels. Lenovo supplies variants of the IdeaPad C340, S540 and S340 with the AMD Ryzen 3 3200U, Ryzen 5 3500U and Ryzen 7 3700U processors of the Zen+ generation, where the GPU is the integrated Radeon RX Vega. The C340 is a 2-in-1 with touchscreen and stylus.
As far as the C340 and S540 are concerned, the AMD laptops are limited to 14″ models and unlike the Intel variants, they are not available with an additional 1TB HDD, but only with 512GB storage. As far as the C340 is concerned, the battery capacity is also a bit lower.
The Intel laptops get a processor up to the Core i7-8565U and the IdeaPad C340, S540 and S340 can be equipped with the GeForce MX230, GTX 1050 and MX250 from Nvidia in turn. The laptops will be released in March and April.

Lenovo is also announcing the IdeaCentre AIO A340 at the same time. This is an all-in-one system with a striking base that will be available in white and black and with a 22″ and 24″ screen. Lenovo provides the systems up to the Intel Core i5-8400T with an optional AMD Radeon 530. However, there are also variants with the AMD A9-9425 with Radeon R5 GPU. The starting price of the 22″ version is 499 euros and that for the 24″ variant is 599 euros. Both will be released in March.
