Lenovo has announced a 32″ monitor with Thunderbolt 3 support. It also supports daisy-chaining, so that different peripherals can be connected to the PC in a kind of chain. The resolution of the screen is 3840 x 2160 pixels.

The ThinkVision P32u is a 32″ version of the existing P27u monitor. Lenovo has also given the new 32″ variant an IPS panel, as well as an anti-reflective coating. The static contrast ratio of the monitor is 1000:1 and the maximum brightness is 300cd/m². The P27u has a maximum brightness of 350cd/m².

The gray-to-gray response time comes out at 6ms and the monitor has horizontal viewing angles of 178 degrees. As with most current 4k monitors, the refresh rate doesn’t go beyond 60Hz. The monitor could display 99.5 percent of the AdobeRGB color space.

As far as connections are concerned, the ThinkVision P32u has displayport 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 connections and four USB 3.0 connections. There is also a connection for USB type-c. The monitor has input and output for Thunderbolt 3, allowing for example other devices that support Thunderbolt 3 to be connected to the P32u in a loop.

According to Anandtech, Lenovo will launch the ThinkVision P32u from March 2018 at a price of $1,349.
