Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been postponed. The game is set to release in the spring of 2021. The developer does not give a new date either, but it promises to announce it ‘as soon as possible’.

Developer TT Games says it simply “needs more time to make the biggest and best Lego game ever.” This can be seen as the second postponement; Initially, it was expected to be released on October 20, 2020, based on an accidentally published video. That then became the spring of 2021 and is now shifted to an unknown date.

The Skywalker Saga, as the name suggests, will run through the story of all nine main films. Also, the game will offer more freedom than previous Lego Star Wars games. The game will have an open world structure in which players can freely explore the environments from the different films. There are ‘hundreds’ of characters from the movies in the game. The makers also promise a more advanced combat system, with a combo system for hand combat.

The Lego game is coming out for Windows, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, the PlayStation 4 and 5, and a Nintendo Switch version is coming.
