Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is expected to release on October 20. That’s the date mentioned in a now-deleted video from the official Star Wars channel on YouTube.

All kinds of media are reporting the October 20 release date mentioned in the video, including the DiscussingFilm’s Twitter account. Since the video in question has been removed, it could be an error, but it seems more likely that the video and thus the release date were published too early. Publisher Warner Bros. and TT Games have not yet confirmed the date.

In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, among other things, the combat system has changed. That will be more layered and complex, with a new combo system for melee combat, so that it will no longer be a system of pressing the same button over and over. Furthermore, firearms will no longer automatically target enemies; players can aim freely, which demands more of their skills. Another innovation is that there is now a third-person perspective.

Unlike previous titles from the Lego Star Wars series, The Skywalker Saga will mainly revolve around freedom. The new title features an open-world structure based on all nine Star Wars films. Players are free to explore the environments from those movies. It is possible to fly to all kinds of planets via hyperspace and to engage in space battles. There would be hundreds of characters from the movies in the game.
