Lego Lord of the Rings games are no longer for sale in download stores
Lego The Lord of the Rings and Lego The Hobbit are no longer available for purchase on Steam and from download stores for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Publisher Warner Bros. says the games are no longer available online. Why is unknown.
The Lord of the Rings themed Lego games are still available in download stores, but they are no longer available for purchase. For players who already own the game, nothing will change. The games remain in the owners’ library and are still playable.
It seems that the games are no longer for sale since the turn of the year. Perhaps this has to do with agreements about rights. Publisher Warner Bros. does not clarify this. The company said in a statement to Eurogamer that Lego The Lord of the Rings and Lego The Hobbit are no longer for sale in download stores, without giving a reason.
Lego The Lord of the Rings came out in 2012. The game appeared for PC and consoles, but also came for Android and iOS. The Android version is still for sale at the time of writing, while the iOS version seems to have disappeared from the iTunes App Store.
