Lego launches social network for children
Lego has released an app that allows kids to share their Lego creations with each other. Lego Life provides users with a safe environment in which the risks associated with internet use are eliminated as much as possible.
Users can see Lego-related news and challenges in the app. The app encourages the user to make certain creations with Lego and take pictures of them. These can then be shared with friends via the app. You can react to the photos with prescribed texts, stickers and emoticons. It is not possible to write a text yourself. There is also a chat function available, where you can only communicate with emoticons and stickers. The app is highly moderated. For example, only photos of Lego may be posted.
No account is required to use the app. An account is required to use the social functions, such as posting messages and saving favorites. This is completely anonymous and Lego promises not to share the account information with third parties. Lego Life is available for tablets and smartphones with Android or iOS.
