Left 4 Dead 2 will get an update next week after 9 years: The Last Stand
Next week, on September 24, The Last Stand will be released for Left 4 Dead 2. This is the first update to the zombie game in more than nine years. The update brings new Survival arenas in addition to a new campaign.
A new trailer for the update has been released at the same time as the September 24 release date. The Last Stand was created in 11 months by some 30 developers from the Left 4 Dead 2 fan community, in collaboration with Valve. The update will be released free for PC on Thursday.
In addition to bug fixes, The Last Stand will include new Survival and Salvage maps, the pitchfork and shovel weapons, zombie skins and sounds found in Left 4 Dead 1, and updated character and weapon animations.
Valve’s zombie shooter was released in 2009 and got its last official dlc in 2011 in the form of Cold Stream.
