Shortly before the official presentation of a new DJI drone, the possible specifications of the device have been leaked. The Mavic Air would have a 32-megapixel camera on board, which can capture 4k video. No details of the sensor have been disclosed yet.

The information comes from the DroneDJ site, which relies on a source that has previously provided correct information in the past. On one of the photos that the site has in its possession, the specifications are mentioned, such as the properties of the camera. That camera will reportedly get a panorama mode. In addition, the Mavic Air has four folding legs and a three-axis gimbal, in addition to object avoidance sensors on the front, rear and bottom.

Furthermore, as with previous models, there is a visual positioning system for better control and indoor use. The drone can stay in the air for 21 minutes, making the flight time shorter than the Mavic Pro Platinum introduced last year. It was also equipped with modified propellers for less noise production; a feature the Mavic Air seems to lack. There is again the possibility to control the drone with hand gestures. The model is available in the colors red, black and white.

DJI is holding an event on Tuesday where the new drone will most likely be announced. The company had previously shown a teaser of the model, in which it only showed a few close-ups without details.
