Leaked renders show Motorola Moto G5S with full metal housing
Renders have appeared online of the Motorola Moto G5S, with a housing that is completely made of metal. It seems to be a more expensive version of the current Moto G5, which has a metal back with plastic sides. There will probably also be a G5S Plus.
AndroidAuthority has put the renders online. The images show the Motorola Moto G5S in three colors: dark gray, gold and blue. The device looks a lot like the already released Moto G5, but now the entire housing is made of metal. As a result, antenna lines are arranged on the top and bottom of the housing.
Last week an image appeared showing the entire line-up of upcoming Moto smartphones. On it are the gS and gS+, probably the G5S and G5S Plus, of which the former is now in the picture. The small model has a 5.2″ screen and the large version has a 5.5″ screen, both with full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. According to the slide, the Plus version will have a dual camera.
Whether the specifications differ from the current Moto G5 and G5 Plus in other respects is not yet known. Those two devices, which are available for 179 and 259 euros respectively, were announced during the Mobile World Congress at the end of February. It is not yet clear what the new Moto G5S models will cost and when they will come on the market.
