Leaked manual GoPro Hero 5 indicates the possibility for voice control
A leaked version of the manual for the GoPro Hero 5 points to possibilities for voice control. For example, users can start a recording or add a highlight tag with short commands.
For example, The Verge writes that the command for adding such a tag consists of the sentence ‘that was sick’. Other commands require sentences in a standard format and start with the word “GoPro”, just like the Google command “OK Google”. For example, the phrase ‘GoPro starts video’ can be used to start a recording. It is unclear whether the commands mentioned in the manual represent the complete list of possibilities.
The manual was extensively analyzed in a Reddit thread, where it emerged that the Hero 5 can record 4k video at 30fps and is equipped with a USB-C connection and a 12-megapixel camera. On Friday, among other things, a schematic of the Hero 5 was leaked, which shows that the appearance of the new version of the camera shows no significant differences from previous models.
Another addition is the option to automatically save material using the so-called GoPro Plus service, writes The Verge. This would work by hanging the camera on the charger, then the content is automatically synced over a Wi-Fi connection. The latter is an assumption, but is obvious since there is no information about a possible mobile data connection of the camera. The files can then be downloaded and edited on a phone using the Capture app.
