League of Legends gets matches with ten of the same Champions
Riot Games will launch One For All: Mirror Mode for League of Legends at the end of May. In it, the two teams compete with the same Champion, on a map with only one lane. The new mode will be available for a limited time from May 29 to June 8.
Riot Games is going to give a new twist to One for All, the game form it introduced earlier in the moba game League of Legends. In the new One For All: Mirror Mode, each player chooses the Champion they want to play with. From the ten Champions selected, the game chooses one, with which all players then enter the arena. So all players compete with the same Champions, on a map with only one lane. The choice for the Champion is a kind of weighted draw. If there is a majority that chooses the same Champion, there is no need to draw lots. If there is no majority, yes, with Heroes who have received more votes have a better chance of being selected.
League of Legends is a very popular moba game. Developer Riot Games announced at the beginning of this year that 27 million players are active every day. Like its major competitor Dota 2, the game is free to play, with Riot Games making money from microtransactions. The success of both moba games has boosted many publishers and developers. For example, Electronic Arts, Deep Silver, Warner Bros. and Creative Assembly on their own game. Blizzard also has a moba game in production. Their Heroes of the Storm is currently in closed alpha testing.
