LattePanda introduces Sigma ‘singleboard server’ with Raptor Lake CPU
LattePanda introduces its Sigma single board computer. This SBC should serve as a ‘hackable’ server for home use. The computer has a Raptor Lake CPU, 16GB of memory and an integrated Iris Xe GPU. The Sigma will be available from $579.
LattePanda mentions the Sigma a ‘hackable single-board server’ with a size of 102x146mm. The server will have a Core i5-1340P CPU with twelve cores and sixteen threads. The integrated GPU has eighty execution units with a clock speed of up to 1.45GHz. The Sigma is also equipped with 16GB of Lpddr5-6400 memory. The device will also have a ‘coprocessor’ that adds support for the Arduino ide. The Sigma also gets a GPIO header.
According to LattePanda, the Sigma is intended for use as a server. The SBC has two connections for 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet. The board also has an M.2 slot for a WiFi module, an M.2 slot for a SATA SSD and two M.2 connections for NVMe drives. The Sigma also has two Thunderbolt 4 connections, four USB-A ports and an HDMI 2.1 connector. The device supports Windows 10 and 11 and also Linux.
The LattePanda Sigma will be available for $579. For that amount, the server is supplied without an SSD or WiFi module. A variant with 500GB SSD and Wi-Fi 6E module costs $648.
