Latest Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC wave gets Daisy Circuit, Diddy Kong and Pauline

Nintendo has shown a teaser of its sixth and final batch of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This ‘wave’ will include Daisy Circuit, in addition to several new playable characters. Wave 6 will be released around the holidays.

Nintendo confirms during his Direct presentation that the last DLC wave will have the Daisy Circuit race track from Mario Kart Wii. This wave will also have seven other new circuits, but Nintendo has not yet said which ones they are.

In addition, the company adds four new characters to the racing game. This includes Diddy Kong and Funky Kong, both of whom were playable in previous Mario Kart games but were missing from part 8. The game also gets Pauline and Peachette, who were already playable in smartphone game Mario Kart Tour.

The final DLC load will be available later this year via the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack, just like the five previous waves. This is available separately for 25 euros, but is also available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
