Larian Studios Will Release Divinity Original Sin Board Game Next Year
Larian Studios has raised funds through Kickstarter to create a Divinity Original Sin-themed board game. The board game suitable for one to four players should be ready by October next year.
According to the makers, the board game is based on the RPG Divinity: Original Sin II, which came out at the end of 2017. The board game is an adventure game with a story and tactical battles. The game is made by Lynnvander Studios, which already has several board games to its name. The Divinity Original Sin board game consists of a game board, four figures, sixteen dice and hundreds of cards. Those cards contain locations, skills and items, among other things.
Interested parties can pledge 109 euros to the crowdfunding project to be eligible for the Standard Edition of the board game. There is also a Premium Edition for 149 euros, with more figures and metal coins. The Extended Edition with extra side quests costs 199 euros. All versions should be delivered in October 2020.
At the time of writing, Larian has raised more than 321,000, more than double the target. The Kickstarter campaign will run through December 20. The developers have now put a number of stretch goals live. If they are met, the makers promise additions to the game. The top goal is $700,000.
