Laptops with Comet Lake-H and new Nvidia GPUs to be announced April 2
Intel was due to announce its 10th-generation 45W laptop processors on April 2, and Nvidia is expected to release Super versions of GeForce RTX laptop graphics cards on that same date. The laptops with new hardware would be released in mid-April.
The Chinese manufacturer Mechrevo has announced a press conference for April 2, where new gaming laptops will be shown, reports the Chinese site IT Home. It would be laptops with Intel Comet Lake-H processors and Nvidia GeForce Super GPUs based on the Turing architecture.
Intel’s Comet Lake-H processors have been expected for a long time. It concerns 14nm processors with a tdp of 45W, the successors of current models such as the Core i7-9750H. According to VideoCardz, the new CPUs have slightly higher clock speeds. The top model would be the Core i9-10980HK, with a turbo up to 5.3GHz. At the beginning of this year, Intel already teased the new processors. The manufacturer then talked about a release in the first quarter.
There was already a rumor about new laptop GPUs from Nvidia last year. A slide with code names then appeared and presumably it concerns the Super variants of GeForce RTX GPUs. There could also be a GTX Super variant. There would also be frugal Max-Q versions of the GPUs.
