Kuo: iPhone 13 Pro models get ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus
The upcoming iPhone 13 Pro may get an ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports this in his most recent report. This feature would also be available for the generation of iPhones that will be released in 2022.
The upgraded ultra-wide-angle camera is only expected in the Pro models of Apple’s upcoming iPhone generation this year, also writes 9to5Mac, who has seen the report from Kuo. The ultra-wide-angle camera in current iPhone models does not have an autofocus function. Instead, this camera only has a fixed focus point for now, unlike the primary camera and the camera with telephoto lens.
Kuo also claims that the ultra-wide-angle lens in the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro smartphones will get six elements. Current iPhones have such five-element lenses. This should improve the image quality of photos and videos compared to the current generation.
According to previous rumors, the upcoming iPhone 13 will have a design that is similar to the iPhone 12. The new generation would have a faster soc and larger batteries. The notch for the front camera would also be smaller. Furthermore, the iPhone 13 Pro models are rumored to have a 120Hz screen. The regular iPhone 13 variants would still get a 60Hz panel. It is not yet known when Apple will announce the new iPhones. In previous years, the company did that in September or October.
