Konami announces which games will include the PC Engine Core Grafx mini
The international version of the PC Engine Core Grafx mini from Konami will contain 50 games and will be released on March 19, 2020. The Japanese company has announced the list of games that the retro console on board.
Konami revealed five games for the PC Engine Core Grafx mini at its announcement last month, but has now released the complete list. It concerns 24 TurboGrafx-16 and 26 PC Engine titles, although there is some overlap with few differences, according to Konami. PC Engine is the name under which the console appeared in Japan in 1987. Konami will make a mini version of that console available on March 19, 2020. In Europe that system is called PC Engine Core Grafx mini, in the US TurboGrafx-16 mini and in Japan PC Engine mini.
The publisher supplies the system with a controller and there is a possibility to connect an extra controller via one of the two USB ports. In addition, there will be a separately available multitap, an adapter to bring the total number of connections to five. This was also possible in 1989 with the arrival of the TurboTap adapter for the original console.
Furthermore, there is the possibility to save the progress at any point in a game and there will be an option to show CRT scanlines for an authentic experience. The dimensions of the mini console are 120×115×35mm and the image and audio output is via HDMI with the resolution being 720p or 480p.
