Konami announces Pro Evolution Soccer 2017
Konami has announced Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. The new football game gets graphical improvements and artificial intelligence that adapts to the player. In addition to a PC version, there will be a console version for current and previous generations of the PlayStation and Xbox.
Konami has put a PES 2017 website online and lists a number of features that should find their way into the new football game. For example, the company claims that Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is the first football game with adaptive AI. Over time, the game should recognize the player’s playing style and the AI would adapt to that. Graphically, Konami promises a major upgrade with better models of football players, renewed stadiums, spectators and grass fields.
Konami also promises a significant improvement in the goalkeepers, thanks to new animations and movements.
Taking corners gives players more control over strategy. It is also possible to give advanced instructions to teams and, for example, order them to play tiki-taka football. Furthermore, PES 2017 should offer improved passing and there are several ways individual football players in the game touch the ball, which Konami calls ‘Real Touch’.
The football game will be released in the fall, an exact date has not yet been announced. The game is out on Steam for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, Konami makes versions for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. To what extent the game on the old consoles differs from the game on the new game consoles is not yet known.
