Kodak Android smartphones get rms software for family members
Kodak will make Android smartphones and tablets with remote management software so family and friends can help users. The company has announced that. The camera company will present its first device in a few weeks.
Kodak says its devices are aimed at people who ‘are not always as comfortable using technology as they would like’. That is the reason for pre-installing remote management software, which can help relatives and friends remotely with problems. In addition, there is software in the smartphones and tablets to take, edit and share photos.
The camera company works together with the British Bullit Group, the company behind, among other things, the CAT line of sturdy smartphones. Kodak and Bullit have not yet released images or specifications, but since the companies report that the first smartphone with 4G support will not come until later in 2015, it is obvious that the first device does not have 4G on board. This means it is probably not a smartphone with high-end or midrange hardware: all high-end and almost all midrange devices now have 4g.
In addition to smartphones and tablets, Kodak and Bullit will also release an Internet-connected camera in 2015. The companies will present their first hardware at CES, the electronics fair that takes place in Las Vegas in two weeks.
