Kingston presents USB stick with capacity of 2TB
Kingston has presented a USB drive with a maximum capacity of 2TB. The DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte, or GT, is available in two variants with capacities of 1 and 2TB. The drive supports USB 3.1 Gen 1.
This means that it should offer high read and write speeds, although Kingston does not provide any information about this. This variant of the DataTraveler has a zinc alloy housing and measures 72×26.94x21mm. Kingston provides the Ultimate GT with a five-year warranty.
The current version is the successor to the HyperX Predator version of the DataTraveler introduced in 2013, which at the time had a capacity of 1TB. Kingston has not disclosed a price for the current variant. The HyperX Predator cost about 1,100 euros at launch.
