Kingston Introduces Fury Beast DDR5 Memory Sets With Speeds Up To 5200MT/s
Kingston announces its Fury Beast DDR5 memory sets. The company is releasing individual 16GB modules and 32GB sets with speeds of 4800 and 5200 mega transfers per second. The modules will be released on November 4. Kingston does not list suggested retail prices.
Kingston will sell individual Fury Beast 16GB modules and 32GB sets from November 4, the company reports. The different versions are available with speeds of 4800 and 5200MT/s via XMP 3.0. The latencies and voltages are respectively CL38 and 1.1V for the DDR5-4800 modules, and CL40 and 1.25V for the DDR5-5200 dimms. The Fury Beast memory modules feature a 34.9mm black low profile heat spreader.
The release of the Fury Beast DDR5 memory modules coincides with the release date of Intel’s Alder Lake-S desktop processors and the accompanying Z690 chipset. Intel announced both those CPUs and the chipset yesterday. Alder Lake will be the first consumer platform with DDR5 support, although manufacturers are also releasing Z690 motherboards with DDR4 support. AMD will release an AM5 platform with DDR5 support in 2022.
