Kingston claims fastest DDR3 memory kit with 2400MHz
Memory manufacturer Kingston claims to have developed the fastest DDR3 memory approved by Intel. The HyperX memory is clocked at 2400MHz and would at least be suitable for Gigabyte’s GA-P55A-UD4P motherboard.
Kingston’s 2x2GB memory kit tops the list list of memory approved by Intel for Core i7 processors. It ddr3 memory has a clock speed of 2400MHz and is therefore 66MHz faster than Corsair’s fastest memory kit. The timings are 9-11-9-27 and are therefore quite high. A voltage of 1.65V is required to reach the record speed. Kingston allegedly tested HyperX memory on several P55 motherboards, including Gigabyte’s GA-P55A-UD4P motherboard.
The memory, with which Kingston would mainly aim at gamers and overclockers, will be available from the second quarter, although an exact release date is not yet known. The price is also unknown, but Kingston does provide a lifetime warranty and technical support.
