Warhorse Studios has announced that the RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance will receive official mod-making support. At least that applies to the PC version, but for the PS4 and Xbox One this is not the case for the time being.

In an interview with Gamepressure, Warhorse’s PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, says mods support is the last thing the developer plans to release for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Official tools for mods are currently being worked on; according to Stolz-Zwilling, some of the tools that allow players to design and write their own quests already work in the Steam Workshop.

At least the tools for creating the mods are coming out for the PC version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The developer is not against supporting modification tools for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but according to Stolz-Zwilling, an agreement with Microsoft and Sony has not yet been reached. As a result, it is currently unclear whether official tools for modifying Kingdom Come: Deliverance will also be released for the consoles.

The game from the Czech developer came out early last year, was made with the CryEngine and already features a large number of mods that adapt elements from the RPG. For example, there is a modification that makes it possible to save the progress at any time; in the original game this can only be done by sleeping in bed, drinking Savior Schnapps or via autosaves or exiting the game.
