Kim Dotcom offers to come to the US
Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has volunteered to come to the United States. He does impose a number of conditions. For example, he must be able to access his money for legal expenses and he wants to be released on bail.
Kim Dotcom, founder of Megaupload, has made a proposal to the prosecution in America. Through Twitter he said: “We will come to the United States, there is no need for extradition. We do want to remain out on bail and we want our capital to be released for lawyers and living expenses,” Dotcom said.
Earlier this week, the case in which the United States asks for the extradition of Kim Dotcom and his colleagues was adjourned until March 25, 2013. Meanwhile, his capital remains frozen. “I have millions of dollars in attorney’s fees that I have not yet been able to pay,” Dotcom told the New Zealand Herald.
Kim Dotcom does not consider it likely that the Americans will accept his proposal. “They will never agree to this because they know they can’t win the case.” Dotcom accuses the US government of trying to exhaust him financially through delaying tactics.
