Studio Trigger has teamed up with Aplus and Arc System Works, the developer of Dragon Ball FighterZ, to release a fighting game based on the Kill la Kill anime series. The game titled ‘Kill la Kill the Game: IF’ is due out in 2019.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF will be a 3d arena battle game with one-on-one combat. The game fits in well with the anime series in terms of graphics and style, where, for example, the frame rate of the game also seems to match that of the TV shows. Much information about the game has not yet been revealed, but the publisher and developer have already released a trailer. In it, the lead actress Ryuko Matoi can be seen taking on Satsuki Kiryuuin.

The new fighting game from Arc System Works is due out sometime in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and for PCs running Steam. The game will not be released for Xbox One and an exact release date has not yet been announced.

Studio Trigger is the studio behind the anime series and Arc System Works is the publisher of Kill la Kill the Game: IF. The latter was previously responsible for the development of Dragon Ball FighterZ, among others. The Japanese studio Aplus is developing the new fighting game and previously made the game Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.
