Kholat and Former The Witcher Developers Create RPG Seven
The team at IMGN.PRO, known for the horror game Kholat, and former CD Projekt Red developers of The Witcher 3 have joined forces to create a Thief-inspired, isometric RPG. The game is called Seven.
IMGN.PRO writes that on its own blog. The three-dimensional, isometric game is being developed with Unreal Engine 4. The story of Seven is about a lone traveler who roams the Empire of Vetrall. Humanity was attacked by the apocalypse several centuries earlier. Miraculously, there were still some people left. In this new ‘dark age’, everyone is constantly entangled with remnants of old, advanced technology.
The new combination of former CD Project Red collaborators who have now gathered in the indie label Fool’s Theory and IMGN.PRO want to breathe new life into the classic genre. The gameplay is based on classic isometric games. The difference from old isometric games is that the main character can move freely between obstacles at any height, both horizontally and vertically. Not much else is known about the game yet. For now, only a PC version is planned. A release date has not yet been announced.
