Kerbal Space Program 2 Coming Spring 2020 With Multiplayer Support
Kerbal Space Program 2 will be released in the first quarter of next year. Publisher Private Division has officially announced the successor to the popular space simulator. It is made by a different developer and will include multiplayer support.
The game was announced Monday evening at the gamescom fair in Cologne. The successor to the popular game is not made by Squad, but by a new developer: Star Theory. It gives the game a graphic lick of paint, among other things. For example, the manuals for building vehicles and making flights will be improved, and a new user interface will be introduced.
In the new game, players can build new interstellar vehicles with new engines. From now on they can also get outside the solar system of Kerbal itself. Once the Kerbals have visited the New Frontier, they can then build colonies and bases there on new planets and moons. It will also be possible to build new vehicles from an Earth orbit or planetary orbit.
One of the most striking new developments is the addition of multiplayer. This allows players to build with each other, but the developer does not provide any further details about what that will look like. Kerbal Space Program 2 will be released next spring on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
