Keeping track of ‘kill-death ratio’ in multiplayer CoD: Modern Warfare costs 20 euros
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has an additional cosmetic: a watch, on which players see how much they have died in an online game. Without this item, players can only see it at the end of a match in most game modes. The package with this item in it costs 19.99 euros.
It’s about the item called Time to Die, which shows kills and deaths. It is part of the Mother Russia bundle. It costs 2000 CoD Points, which again costs 19.99 euros. In addition, nine other cosmetic items are included in the bundle, which has been on sale since December 10.
An alternative to paying 20 euros is to buy the Battle Pass of 1000 CoD Points for 9.99 euros, after which you still have 100 points left and with which 1300 CoD points can be earned through level-ups. The remaining 600 points must then be purchased separately for at least 5.97 euros or earned through the Season 2 Battle Pass. In this way, the total price comes to 15.96 plus the gameplay time it takes to earn the points back.
Tweaker JanJaapK notes, however, that the game modes in which a player’s deaths are important, such as Team Deathmatch, do show how many times a player has died. There is no known motivation for why this statistic is omitted in other modes.
Players are not happy with the cosmetic, because in previous games it was a basic function to show the player how many times they have lost. Also in other games it is very common that there are no such conditions for showing a player’s death count.
Shooting game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released on October 25 this year for Windows, the PS4, and the Xbox One. The game is developed by franchise founder Infinity Ward and published by its parent company Activision, also known as Activision Blizzard. The game costs 59.99 euros.
