Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod will be out on Steam next week
The fan-created multiplayer mod for Just Cause 3 will be released via Steam on July 20. The mod has been playable as a beta since the beginning of this year. The mod allows players to create their own game modes and play with up to 100 people at once on a server.
Just Case 3: Multiplayer Mod has been in the making by Nanos since late 2015. Like the beta, the final version will be made available for free. Version 1.0 will be released on Steam as DLC for the original game. The developers have posted a list of frequently asked questions about the mod online.
Version 1.0 of the multiplayer mod does not include Achievements, but those will be added with an update in version 1.1, the developers say. All players also have the same skin for the time being, but with a later update it should be possible to adjust the appearance.
Just Cause 3 came out in late 2015. The game itself has no multiplayer. The same was the case with Just Cause 2 and a multiplayer mod was also developed for that game. The lead developer of that mod has been hired by Just Cause studio Avalanche. The team that created the mod for Just Cause 3 consists of other developers.
