A report from the FCC has revealed several details about the hardware specifications of the Fusion Garage company’s JooJoo tablet. The device appears to be based on an Atom N270 processor in combination with Nvidia’s Ion chipset.

In addition to the processor and chipset, the FCC report also made it clear that the tablet has a 3G module. The device also has a capacitive multi-touch screen with a diagonal of 12.1 “, 4GB flash memory and a camera for video calling. The battery is not removable and, according to the developer, is good for five hours of internet use via the WiFi adapter. Thanks to the Ion chipset can play 1080p video and supports h.264 acceleration for video. The operating system of the 1.1kg device, like Google’s Chrome OS, is based on the use of web applications.

The tablet has a difficult history. Originally Fusion Garage would de JooJoo under the name CrunchPad and develop the website TechCrunch in collaboration with Michael Arrington. However, in November 2009, Fusion Garage decided to break the partnership and market the tablet itself. Arrington then filed a lawsuit.

Due to problems with the touchscreen, the planned release date of late February was not met. Americans can pre-order a copy right now for $499. Fusion Garage expects to be able to deliver the tablet at the end of this month.
