Jon Prosser publishes photos Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with S-Pen lock
YouTuber Jon Prosser claims to have his hands on photos of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The upcoming flagship will reportedly have a dedicated S-Pen slot for the first time in the S-series.
The alleged photos of the Galaxy S22 Ultra were published on Front Page Tech, although it is not known how Prosser obtained the images. Roughly all the external features of the device in the photos correspond to the renders that were shared by OnLeaks in September. The only major difference is the finish of the camera module, which probably indicates that these are images of a prototype of the S22 flagship. According to Prosser, Samsung will release the Galaxy S22 series in the second week of February. According to previous rumors, the smartphones have been in production since the beginning of this month, but Samsung has not yet officially announced the new series.
Previously, within the smartphone category, the S-Pen stylus was only compatible with the Note series. This year, on the other hand, Samsung did not release a Note series as a counterpart to the S21 series. Reportedly, the company chose this because of the limited production options due to the worldwide chip shortage. Since the beginning of this year, the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold3 have S-Pen support. Both devices do not have a dedicated slot for the stylus.
