Japanese furniture maker introduces hand massager for gamers
After a bed for gamers, the Japanese company Bauhütte now also comes with a hand massager. It can massage the palm and fingers and warm up the hand. The company states that the device can help before, after and during gaming.
Bauhütte states that gamers’ hands “get tired without their knowledge,” according to their site, translated into Google Translate. Simply called the Hand Massager, the device can help with pre-game warm-up and massage during breaks and after finishing.
While that may seem superfluous, it may secretly make sense. The RSI Vereniging Nederland reports on its site that two measures against such complaints are to take regular breaks and to simply relax. It is important to note that the Massager does nothing to the wrist, apart from giving it the opportunity to rest; it is precisely there that an injury can play a significant role.
According to the Japanese, the device is equipped with 15 air cushions that sit around the fingers and hand. There is also a rotating massage element at the height of the palm, which can work at different strengths. The fingers also have individual massage elements at their disposal. Heating is done via a heating element.
This is not the first device that Bauhütte releases for gamers and certainly not the craziest. Previously, it came with a whole bed for gamers. It’s designed to put everything a gamer needs within easy reach of the bed. So it has monitor mounts, a mobile keyboard table, food and drink trays and a phone holder with one arm. They also make a foot massager ‘for gamers’. The Hand Massager is for sale in Japan for about 130 euros.
