Terminator creator James Cameron is working on a film in the illustrious science fiction series for the first time. Cameron said “Hasta la vista baby” after 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the three Terminator movies after that were made without him.

The development of the sixth Terminator film will be led by Cameron and the director will be Tim Miller of Deadpool fame. Linda Hamilton returns as Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who announced “I’ll be back” in the first Terminator film in 1984, return as robots, Hollywood Reporter writes.

The film will take place after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring everything that happened in the third, fourth and fifth films in the series. The last of these, Terminator: Genisys, came out in 2015.

The film, which has no title yet, will be released in the summer of 2019. According to Cameron, the films are more topical than ever, now that the bleak picture of the future that the films paint is becoming more and more true. “People ask me: will the machines ever beat humanity? I say look at people using their phones. The machines have already won.”
