Jagex working on open world survival game set in RuneScape universe

Jagex is working on an open world survival game. Not many details are known about the game other than that it takes place in the RuneScape universe and the game is being built on Unreal Engine 5.

The RuneScape studio made a mention of the as yet unannounced game in a message. In it, the company announced that it has hired three experienced game developers to lead the development of the game: Maddie Harper, Géry Arduino and Guilhem Barloy. Harper and Arduino have both worked for Ubisoft. There they collaborated on the Assassins Creed series. Barloy worked at Evolution Studios, the creator of the PlayStation 4 racing game Driveclub, among others.

Jagex gives little further details about the open world game. It is not yet known what his name will be, what the game will look like and on which platforms he will appear. Jagex does say that the game will be made based on Unreal Engine 5.
