Jabra stops making wireless earbuds
Jabra will stop producing wireless earbuds. Parent company GN says investing in the Elite earbuds and the Talk earbuds for calling is not profitable in the long term.
The stock of earplugs will run out by the end of the year, estimates GN. After that, the company will continue to support existing customers for at least the next few years. Jabra announces two final models: the second generation of the Elite 8 Active and the Elite 10.
GN says it will discontinue the Jabra product lines because the investments are not profitable in the long term. “Markets have changed over time. We now believe that we cannot generate a reasonable return on our investments compared to the many other opportunities we have across our Hearing, Enterprise and Gaming businesses,” the company said.
