Jabra introduces wireless headphones with 40 hours battery life – update
Jabra will show two sets of new headphones and earbuds at CES. These are the Jabra Elite Active 75T and the Elite 45h. The latter is wireless headphones and, according to Jabra, lasts 40 hours on a full battery. The Active 75T is a set of wireless earplugs for athletes.
The Jabra Elite 45h are wireless headphones with an on-ear design and 40mm drivers. According to Jabra, the battery lasts up to 40 hours. Due to fast charging, the headphones should have eight hours of battery life after a 15-minute charge. The headphones also have two microphones that block background noise during phone calls. Those same microphones can also be used with digital assistants, such as Alexa, Siri and the Google Assistant. The headphones also weigh about 170 grams. The Elite 45h has a suggested retail price of USD 99, which, converted and including VAT, amounts to approximately 107 euros.

The Jabra Elite Active 75t earplugs are based on the current Elite 75t series. The two earplugs hardly differ; both offer a battery life of 7.5 hours on a single charge, which is increased to 28 hours with the charging case. What is new is a coating that should improve dust and water resistance. The Elite Active 75t therefore receives an ip57 rating. The new model should also offer better sound insulation. The Elite Active 75t is charged with USB-C, and will be available in February for $199. Converted that is about 215 euros. The current Elite 75t is in the Pricewatch for € 119.
Both the Elite 45h and Elite Active 75t will receive support for Jabra MySound upon release. This is an automated equalizer that adapts to the user’s personal preferences. This works through a sound test that users can do. This functionality should be available in the second quarter of 2020.
Update, 17:50: Contrary to what was stated earlier in the article, the Jabra Elite 45h are on-ear headphones. The article has been adapted accordingly.
