iPhone SE Plus will appear next year, will not get a new design
Will there be a new iPhone SE? It seems that way. The next iPhone SE will probably appear in 2022. Apple expert Ross Young claims that the device will be called iPhone SE Plus, and knows more details.
iPhone SE Plus 2022 Rumors
We now hear the next LCD iPhone will be introduced in 2022 and called the SE Plus with the same 4.7″ LCD as the 8 along with 5G. We hear the iPhone SE3 with a 5.7″ – 6.1″ LCD is now pushed to 2024. https://t.co/9gxiAAk8Yi

The current iPhone SE appeared early last year and people are already looking forward to a new version of Apple’s budget model. According to Ross Young, it will come next year with the iPhone SE Plus. Despite the name, the device does not get a larger screen – Plus models usually have a 5.5-inch screen. This device probably looks the same as the current SE: it gets the classic design with a home button and a 4.7-inch LCD screen again. We still know this design from the iPhone 8. According to Young, what is new is 5G support.
Then an iPhone SE 3
Last week there were still rumors about a future iPhone SE 3 with a borderless screen. This would get the design of the iPhone XR, but no Face ID. Touch ID (the fingerprint scanner) would be built into the on/off button of the device, just like on the iPad Air and the iPad mini. Are these rumors now off the table? Not quite.
Young speaks in his tweet not only about the iPhone SE Plus that should appear in 2022, but also about an iPhone SE 3. This will have an LCD screen of between 5.7 and 6.1 inches. This iPhone may not get a notch, but a so-called punch-hule design: the camera is recessed in a hole in the screen. Does that sound futuristic? That’s right: you shouldn’t expect this SE before 2024.
