iPhone 2020 gets thinner screen

After a few years, we have become accustomed to the once-innovative iPhone X design. But it is quite possible that with the iPhone 12, which should appear in the fall of 2020, Apple is taking a completely different approach. According to insiders, there will be a redesign of the iPhone.

iPhone 2020: different size, thinner screen

While the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro (Max) are just in stores, the rumor about its successors is already starting. The iPhone 12 continues to hold a 6.1-inch screen, according to Korean sources, but that may be an OLED screen. The screens are probably supplied by Samsung and LG.

The iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max are said to have an OLED screen of 5.4 and 6.7 inches respectively, supplied by Samsung. The special thing about this screen is the Y-OCTA technology. The pressure-sensitive part is thereby placed directly on the OLED panel, which saves a layer. In other words: the screen becomes a bit thinner. That does not mean that the iPhone as a whole becomes thinner; the size of the battery is also important here.

Rumors iPhone 12

2020 promises to be a special year for the iPhone. For the first time since the iPhone X comes a different design, maybe even without notch. The design would also be a nod to the “flat” iPhone 4. Earlier this week there were rumors about a 3D camera, 5G support and an extension of the main memory.
