iOS 14.3 beta has references to AirPods Studio and AirTags
Apple released the beta of iOS 14.3 yesterday. The code contains a reference to the AirPods Studio: the first over-ear headphones that Apple is in development.
AirPods Studio icon
Beta iOS 14.3 was briefly available yesterday, but was quickly withdrawn due to pressure on the Apple servers. At the same time, macOS Big Sur appeared, which caused overload. Some have managed to download the beta after all. A remarkable illustration was found in the files: a headphone icon.
The icon has a simple design, but does not resemble Apple’s Beats headphones, for example. These are headphones with oval ear cushions and a padded headband. It matches everything that has come out about the AirPods Studio so far. According to rumors, the AirPods Studio will have a retro design with interchangeable ear cups and active noise cancellation. There may be two variants: a lightweight sports version and a more luxurious variant consisting of more expensive materials.
AirTags
IOS 14.3 also contains a reference to the AirTags. This is Apple’s bluetooth tracker for keeping an eye on all your valuables. In addition, it seems that Apple will also support third-party trackers. This means that, for example, you will also see a Tile tracker on the map in the Find my app.
Incidentally, no release date is yet known for both the AirPods Studio and the AirTags. Last Tuesday, Apple’s Mac event took place, which was probably the last event of 2020. An announcement with just a press release is also possible, but we don’t really expect that with completely new products.
